Dominican Missionaries in Africa and Japan
The fathers of St. Albert's Province have established a mission center in Nigeria in British West Africa. They are in charge of a parish, a school, and several outlying missions. In addition to this work they frequently lecture in philosophy and theology. Their work also includes giving retreats to other religious communities working in West Africa. Besides similar missionary work, our fathers in Japan have joined with Dominicans from other provinces to found a Thomistic Institute for teaching philosophy and theology at - Kyoto, the site of the famous Imperial University. This Thomistic Institute will insure sound Catholic training for many young people in Japan.
