    High above all nations is Yahweh, * above the heavens his glory.

        Who is like Yahweh our God, * who is enthroned on high,

    who stoops to look * from heaven to earth?

He lifts the poor from the dust, * from the refuse dump raises the needy

to seat him with princes, * yes, with the princes of his people.

He blesses the childless with a household, * a happy mother of children.
