My Creator, Yahweh, I promise * to observe your commandments.

I ask your favor with all my heart; * have pity on me according to your promise.

I have considered your ways, * and turned my steps back to your terms.

I hurried and did not delay * to observe your commandments.

Though bands of the wicked encircled me, * I did not forget your law.

In the middle of night I rise to thank you * for your just decrees.

I am a companion to all who fear you, * to all who observe your precepts.

The earth is full of your kindness, * Yahweh; * teach me your statutes.
