Rev. Jordan Russell Aumann

Rev. Jordan Russell Aumann, O.P., died Jan. 23, 2007 after an extended illness. He was born on June 15, 1916, in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Henry John Aumann and Viola Helen Smades. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and preceded in death by the late Lillian, Earl H., Marion, John G. and Bernard W. Aumann, Geraldine M. Irey, Donald G. and Raymond P. Aumann. Fr. Aumann made his profession of vows as a Dominican Friar in 1939 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1945. He was active in teaching, writing and spiritual direction. Fr. Aumann published 8 books on spiritual theology. The office for the Dead and Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Jan. 26, 2007 at St. Pius V Priory, 1909 S. Ashland Ave., Chicago, IL, followed by burial at All Saints Cemetery.
