Rev. Joseph Innocent Hren, O.P. died on April 12, 2009 at Resurrection Hospital. Father Hren was born on February 28, 1020 in Chicago, Illinois to the late John Michael and Veronica Densa Hren who later moved to Hebron, Indiana. He is survived by his brother Edward Hren and his sister Anna Hren and many nephews and nieces. He was proceeded in death by his brother John and his sister Veronica. Father made his religious profession as a Dominican Friar on September 22, 1941 and was ordained on June 5, 1947. Father Hren taught Latin and Theology for over fifty years at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois. The Accipter Award was established in his honor to recognize persons who are outstanding in the legal profession. He was beloved by his former students and was proud to be part of their success.
Funeral services will be held on at Saint Vincent Ferrer Church, 1530 Jackson River Forest, Illinois on April 16, 2009. The viewing will be at 8:00 AM in the Church followed by the Office of the Dead at 9:00 AM, and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM
