R.I.P.: Fr. Dana Harold Ostdiek, O.P.

The Rev. Dana Harold Ostdiek died on May 26, 2009 at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN at 77 years of age. He was the son of the late Carl and Coral (Larson) Ostdiek. He is survived by his sister, Coral Buchman and many nephews and nieces. Father Ostdiek made his profession as a Dominican Friar in 1954 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1960. Throughout his life he was involved in high school teaching and pastoral ministry. At the time of his death he was the Chaplain and instructor at Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy in Mendota Heights. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SAINT ALBERT THE GREAT PARISH, corner of E. 29th St. and 32nd Ave So., Mpls. on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM with viewing beginning at 9:30 AM until time of MASS. Burial will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mpls.

Memorials may be made to the Dominican Society for Vocational Support, 1909 South Ashland Avenue, Chicago, IL 60608.
