NEW STUDIUM INAUGURATED IN BOLIVIA

On the feast of St. Juan Macias, OP, the new studium (House of Studies) in Cochabamba, Casa Fray Antonio de Montesinos, was dedicated by Bishop Tito Solari . The new altar was dedicated and the building blessed. Here are some photos of the newly completed building.

The building was completed 123 days ahead of schedule, thanks to the professional work of Cardona-Rios Ltda and our supervisor, Arq. Jose Granda Diez. It is located on 4.7 acres of land, and is 2,545 squre meters in size (1,490 m2 ground level, and 1056m2 the upper level). That's 27,402 sq.ft. There are 28 individual bedrooms, and room for 6 guests.

The chapel was designed by Arq. Wilson Claros and the stained glass windows crafted by Mr. Javier Eguino of Cochabamba. The Risen Christ image was crafted by Mr.German Garcia of Santa Cruz.

Here are six of the new residents of Casa Fray Antonio de Montesinos: Bros. Santos Escobar, Edwin Gonzales, Felix Serrudo, Raul Vacarreza, Juan Carlos Molina, and one of our newly ordained deacons, Jorge Saldias.
